Te āheinga: The opportunity

You will guide improvements in our procurement processes, support tenders and contract activities, and ensure suppliers meet their obligations. Additionally, you will provide guidance and tools to teams to implement standardised, effective and compliant processes, helping maintain compliance and reliable outcomes across the organisation.

  • Lead and improve procurement and contract management processes
  • Support the team with tenders, contract setup and negotiations
  • Monitor supplier performance and manage risks proactively
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, policies and industry standards
  • Develop templates, tools and supplier panels to support consistent processes
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting for stakeholders

He kōrero mōu: About you

We are looking for someone with:

  • Tertiary qualification in engineering or procurement or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in procurement and, or contract management
  • Knowledge of commercial contract frameworks and local government procurement strategies
  • Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage contract issues and maintain supplier performance
