Te aheinga: The opportunity

A year-long internship position is available for a tertiary student interested in waste prevention and the circular economy. At South Waikato District Council, we want to reject linear thinking and help design the local circular economy. Our selected intern will work on a circular economy project and develop and showcase skills employers value.

When: The fixed-term part-time internship will run from February 2026 until February 2027.

Who: Applications from tertiary students in any field of study are welcomed.

Where: This role is based in Tokoroa, South Waikato.
