At South Waikato District Council things are changing and we have positioned ourselves to embrace the diversity of our district and deliver a bold vision for the future. We are looking for a Property Assets Administrator to ensure our Council property assets are maintained and fit for purpose.
Te āheinga: The opportunity
Our Property team is responsible for maintaining Council owned buildings and assets such as our vehicle fleet, our administration buildings, and our pensioner housing.
We are looking for a mature, energetic administration superstar with a ‘can-do’ attitude to provide administration support to the Property team to ensure we keep up to date with maintenance, ensure the roadworthiness of our fleet, and manage our airfield bookings. This role is based at our Tokoroa administration building and is required to work on site every day. The role offers plenty of variety and interaction with our council employees, customers, and trades services.
This is a full-time role.

- Assisting with the management of the vehicle fleet
- Assisting with the management of the Pensioner Houses
- Assisting with the day-to-day management of the airfield – attending meetings as required

To be successful in this role you will have:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with customers and colleagues including senior management.
- Comfort using office software (ie Microsoft) and capable of learning new systems quickly.
- A keen eye for detail and accuracy in both customer interactions and administrative duties.
